Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time CT technologist at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME. This position involves performing computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a Radiology/CT license, ARRT-CT Certification, and strong knowledge of medical terminology. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, and the work schedule is nights.

Qualifications

• One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures according to physician orders and radiology protocols
• Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images while maintaining radiation safety standards
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, verifying patient identity and explaining procedures
• Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and safety
• Assist Radiologists and physicians during diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
• Process and transmit CT images to PACS for interpretation and storage
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to patient care needs
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
• Follow infection control, radiation safety, and hospital compliance standards

Skills

Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment

Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology

Proficient computer skills

Education

Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State

Department: Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging Schedule: Full-Time, Nights, 8 hour shifts
