Job Description

The CT Technologist performs a variety of CT Scan imaging procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings to diagnose medical conditions. The role involves operating CT scan equipment to produce quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities across a diverse patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric. Responsibilities include obtaining consent, preparing patients, explaining procedures, and providing care suitable to the patient's condition and age.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scan equipment to produce quality images for diagnostic purposes.
• Obtain consent, prepare, and explain procedures to patients.
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Determine suitable anatomical posture and position, shielding patients accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians and other Imaging staff as needed.
• Practice aseptic and sterile techniques for all procedures.
• Work within the CT Technologist scope of practice according to policy and procedures.
• Follow all general infection control measures and those specific to the CT scan department.
• Complete required documentation accurately immediately after completing each case.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging.
• FLDOH General Radiographer certification.
• ARRT CT Registry (or registry-eligible and acquire within six months of hire).
• Experience with CNOR, CSSM, Surgical Services, MRI, body scanner, and X-Rays.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing CT preferred.
• Ability to create accurate picture assessments of bones, organs, and tissues.
  
  

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63107.20 - $88337.60/yr.
