Job summary

Mayo Clinic in La Crosse seeks a Radiologic Technologist/CT Technologist to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation and to support multiple CT departments while adhering to strict safety guidelines and delivering excellent patient care.

The position is full-time with a variable weekday schedule, weekend rotations, and potential shifts across CT locations. ARRT radiography certification is required, CT certification encouraged within 18–24 months; BLS is also required.

Responsibilities

Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. Fosters teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths. Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.

Qualifications

Requires a graduate of an accredited radiography program. Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends. Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist experience preferred. ARRT certified in Radiography ARRT certified in CT within 18 months of hire or 24 months for Critical Access Hospital, Per Diem, or Supplemental employees. Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership. Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if the state requires licensure). BLS certified

Schedule Details

Variable weekday schedule with a rotation of 1-2 holidays per year. Provides coverage for the La Crosse and Onalaska CT departments, with rotation to Sparta CT as operational needs require. May work PM and overnight shifts to support staffing needs, employee PTO, and leaves of absence.

Weekend Schedule

Participates in a 1-in-8 weekend rotation. Weekend assignments may include day, evening, or overnight shifts to support CT operations. Weekend rotation is subject to change based on staffing needs, PTO coverage, and operational demands.
