Qualifications

  • CT Registry required upon hire, minimum of 1 year experience.
  • ARRT (CT) registration needed or to be obtained within 18 months.
  • Pediatric CT experience preferred.

Summary:

This position is responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging through the application of advanced technical and clinical knowledge, while maintaining strict attention to patient care and ALARA principles. Accountable for providing CT imaging expertise for all ages from neonatal/newborn to adults, with acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support. Knowledgeable of regulatory compliance standards and radiation safety, maintaining departmental compliance in collaboration with Radiation Safety Officer.

This is a full-time position to include weekend day shift coverage.


Qualifications:

  • Graduation from accredited program in Radiological Technology

  • CT Registry required upon hire. Minimum of 1 year

  • Pediatric CT experience preferred

  • Possess a level of clinical expertise and competency in cross sectional anatomy

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Must have the ability to handle critical care situations which can create a high level of stress

  • ARRT required

  • ARRT (CT) registered or obtain ARRT (CT) certification within 18 months of hire

  • Texas licensed Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist required

  • CPR BLS required
