Job summary

Holy Cross Health Fl in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, manage contrast administration, and ensure patient safety. The role requires proficiency with PACS/RIS, adherence to protocols, and accurate documentation.

You will also maintain equipment and assist with post-processing tasks. Education involves graduation from an approved Radiology program; licensure includes Florida Radiology License with ARRT CT certification highly preferred and BLS.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations.
• Ability to start IVs.
• Efficient in post processing and 3D reconstructions of CTA Brain, Neck and Cardiac imaging.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of technical procedures in Computerized Tomography and processes scans with proficiency.
• Draws up requested medication/contrast media and records the administered amount and time per physician orders; administers contrast under physician direction.
• Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds appropriately.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the CT Scan and equipment; ensures areas stocked with supplies.
• Provides for the physical, medical, emotional and safety needs of the patient.
• Knowledge in CT and MRI safety; maintain weekly and monthly QC on CT and MRI equipment.
• Work independently and communicate effectively with Radiology staff.

Monday-Friday 6am- 230pm

• Performs a variety of technical procedures in Computerized Tomography and processes scans. Performs CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordancewith set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Draws up requested medication/contrast media and accurately recordsthe administered amount and time as per the physician's orders. Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician.Recognizes signs of contrast reaction and responds appropriately with appropriate action. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the CT Scan and all equipment. Assures that the area is appropriately stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies. Provides for the physical, medical, emotional and safety needs of the patient.

Job Requirements:

Education
