Job Summary: As a CT Technologist, you'll utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnosis, following safety procedures and protocols. You will interpret physicians' scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate CT equipment, and position patients to capture the appropriate images.
Responsibilities:
- Maneuver equipment and patients, provide basic patient care, and submit accurate imaging, patient history, documentation, and case charges.
- Support department initiatives related to patient and employee satisfaction.
- Perform technical procedures requiring judgment, initiative, and ingenuity for radiologic diagnosis.
- Maintain current skills and pursue professional development, including attending meetings, learning from radiologists, and staying informed about standards and protocols.
- Perform quality assurance audits and incidental office duties to ensure timely patient records and a well-functioning department.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, with coursework in cross-sectional anatomy or demonstrated skill in the area. One year of experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required. State of Washington Radiologic Technologist registration required; CT registration preferred.
