Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a CT Technologist for Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. The role involves performing CT imaging, preparing patients, and ensuring quality images while adhering to ALARA principles. The incumbent will document patient data in the EHR and assist physicians during procedures.

Required credentials include ARRT/NMTCB CT certification and MA/RI licensure, plus BLS. The position offers a 32–40 hour flex schedule with evening shifts and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Radiation Therapy program with primary certification within one year of eligibility.
• Post-primary CT certification required within one year of eligibility and/or per RT licensure in MA/RI.
• Current RT licensure in MA and/or RI based on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ARRT or NMTCB registration required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or have exemption signed.

Responsibilities

• Provide diversified clinical patient care under supervision within Radiology.
• Perform patient assessments and document data in the EHR.
• Position patients and select imaging equipment and supplies for CT procedures.
• Monitor and apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Assist physicians during procedures.

Responsibilities Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Responsible for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient’s chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiation Therapy and attainment of primary certification within one year of eligibility and post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography, RT(CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board NMTCB(CT).
• Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of CT is required for RTs or CNMTs within one year of eligibility and/or per RT licensure in MA or RI.
• Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• RT Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) are required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $40.83 - USD $63.63 /Hr. Rotation Schedule Requirement every 3rd weekend and holiday/call rotation
