Job summary

The ideal candidate will operate CT and X-ray equipment while ensuring proper safety standards. Required qualifications include graduation from an approved program and state licensure, along with Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• One year of CT experience preferred.
• If associate does not hold ARRT (CT) registration, must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Job description

Overview

Performs quality diagnostic procedures in an accurate and timely fashion. Operates CT and X-ray equipment and processes images as required. Prepares CT room, equipment, supplies and medication as indicated for the procedure/exam being performed. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams and ensures staff follow the same precautions. Maintains a safe environment for patients, co-workers and visitors. Supports and helps achieve the departmental and hospital goals. Provides services to all age groups (infant to geriatric).

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology,
• (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography, or (ARRT-R) Radiography
• MRT State Licensure (TMB)
• If associate does not hold ARRT (CT) registration, associate shall obtain within 6 months of hire/promotion or completion of cross-training program.
• One year of CT experience preferred.
