Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform multi-slice CT and fluoroscopy procedures, start IVs, and administer contrast under physician direction. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork within a supportive environment.

The candidate should hold a formal radiologic technology program completion and be eligible for required ARRT and BLS credentials on hire, with CT-related credentials to be attained within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Formal radiologic technology program completion.
• Completion of required radiologic technologist credentials on hire.
• BLS certification on hire.
• ARRT Radiography credential on hire.
• Within 1 year: CT technologist credential or Nuclear Medicine CT credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and patient care procedures using a multi-slice CT scanner.
• Start IVs and administer contrast as directed by physician; monitor during procedures.
• Provide exemplary customer service and participate in a team-oriented workflow.
• Apply radiology technology experience to diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy work.

Job description

Performs a variety of technical and patient care procedures that require independent judgment utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner. Utilizes power injectors and monitoring equipment. Starts IVs and administers IV, oral, or rectal contrast at the direction of the physician onsite. Provides exemplary customer service. Participates and is engaged in a team framework and maintains a positive approach and attitude. Continues to use their radiology technology experience doing diagnostic X-ray and Fluoroscopy work.

Required Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program
• Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
• Within 1 year of hire:
  • National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography --or--
  • National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with one-year in a CT Scan department preferred

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
