Job summary

Srimatrix Health in Chicago is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure high-quality imaging. You will participate in radiology safety and patient comfort, while adhering to departmental protocols and safety standards.

The ideal candidate holds an appropriate radiologic technology degree, state licensure, CPR/BLS, and proven CT experience. This full-time evening shift offers a shift differential and weekend rotation in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
Licensure: State license to work as a CT Technologist required.
Experience: Proven experience as a CT Technologist with a solid understanding of imaging procedures and technology.
Certifications: Current CPR and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

CT Imaging: Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
Patient Positioning: Ensure proper positioning of patients for accurate and comfortable scans.
Radiology Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine warm-up sequences on CT scanners and ensure equipment is properly sterilized and maintained for patient safety.
Radiology Procedures: Administer radiocontrast agents as necessary to enhance internal organ visibility and improve image quality.
Scan Quality: Evaluate CT scans to ensure they meet required technical standards.
Patient Communication: Explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and answering questions as needed.
Other Duties: Perform additional related tasks as assigned by the Radiology Director or Lead CT Technologist.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team in providing patient care second to none. Under the general direction of the Radiology Director and Lead CT Technologist, the CT Technologist will perform professional duties in the CT department, including operating computerized tomography (CT) equipment, positioning patients, and performing diagnostic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering world-class service while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

CT Imaging: Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues.
Patient Positioning: Ensure proper positioning of patients for accurate and comfortable scans.
Radiology Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine warm-up sequences on CT scanners and ensure equipment is properly sterilized and maintained for patient safety.
Radiology Procedures: Administer radiocontrast agents as necessary to enhance internal organ visibility and improve image quality.

Working Conditions

Overnight shift hours (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with required weekend shifts (every other weekend).
Shift differential available for overnight shifts.
Exposure to radiologic equipment with adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.

Licensure: State license to work as a CT Technologist required.

Experience: Proven experience as a CT Technologist with a solid understanding of imaging procedures and technology.

Certifications: Current CPR and BLS certification required.

Skills

Strong technical skills in operating CT equipment and troubleshooting.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Effective communication skills and the ability to reassure and support patients.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist patients as necessary.

Must-Haves

Important Information:

High school diploma, Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
State license to work as a CT Technologist is a requirement.
Proven experience working as a CT Technologist in a clinical setting.
CPR and BLS certification required.
