A leading healthcare provider in Charlotte seeks a CT technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and support patient care. This position requires an accredited radiology education and the ability to work with advanced imaging technology. Candidates will join a diverse team dedicated to high-quality healthcare delivery in a dynamic clinic environment.
Primary Objective
CT technologists will perform CT scans as ordered by a licensed provider to provide diagnostic images that will aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. They will also operate fluoroscopic C-arm in conjunction with speech language pathologists performing modified barium swallow studies.
Essential Functions
Skills and Abilities
Practice appropriate procedures and standards to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to modify protocols to increase diagnostic yield of exams
Ability to follow physician instructions, prepare radiography equipment, position patients, and proficiently use equipment for diagnosis.
Ability to communicate calmly, compassionately, and professionally
Proficient in use of Electronic Medical Record systems

This role supports physicians in diagnosis and treatment of patients by providing high quality radiologic images in a cost-effective manner. By doing this testing in the office, patients’ care is expedited through same day results. Reimbursement for performing these exams in the office generates an additional revenue stream.
Education
High School Diploma
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
Experience
One year of CT experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Basic Life Support certification
ARRT (CT)
Work Environment

The work environment for this position is in the clinic in the radiology department with continual interaction with other staff members. It requires the use of a computer for the majority of the time spent at work as well as the ability to be perceptive for changes in patient condition while in the radiology department.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The CT technologist reports to the Director of Imaging. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full time hours of 40 per week that will vary during the time the clinic is open, typically 730 am until 530 pm. This position requires the employee to be in the office to perform the functions of this position.

Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand and walk for extended period and frequently requires sitting. Overall dexterity is required frequently, including handling, reaching, grasping, bending, and feeling. Must be able to listen and communicate verbally in person, and on the phone. May require occasional lifting of more than 50 pounds. Distance vision of up to 20 feet as well as close up work, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

A Typical Day in the Position
CT technologists will perform an average of 10-15 exams per day. They will be expected to obtain prior authorization in an expedited manner for patients scheduled the same day to minimize wait time. They are also responsible for management of assigned work queues for scheduling radiology appointments and benefit collection. These team members will use their knowledge to produce studies that are of high diagnostic yield for providers and/or radiologists to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.
