Responsibilities:

• Perform routine imaging examinations in CT on scheduled and emergency basis.
• Review and evaluate requisitions for CT imaging procedures, abstract data from patient charts, and determine appropriateness of procedures based on diagnosis and clinical signs.
• Perform basic imaging analysis (e.g., 3D).
• Select appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
• Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status; develop plans to accommodate their specific needs.
• Explain procedures to patients and parents, answer questions regarding the exam and radiation exposure, practicing ALARA principles.
• Provide exceptional care and service consistently.
• Follow Departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations.
• Practice High Reliability Training.
• Create a supportive environment tailored to the patient's needs.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining daily operations of the section.
• Participate in departmental and hospital meetings.
• Complete all documentation accurately and timely.
• Comply with ETU standards.
• Further professional education and stay updated on current regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental files.

Minimum Qualifications:

• RT/CT Massachusetts State License
• Advanced CT Massachusetts State License within 12 months of hire for CT trainees.
• RT/CT registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
• Successful completion and maintenance of ARRT certification.
• BLS certification
• Associates degree in Allied Health
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
