UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook is seeking a Part-time CT Technologist to join our radiology team in Illinois. The role involves performing CT exams, operating scanners and monitors, and ensuring patient safety with strict infection control and PPE use.

Shifts include day and evening slots, 8:30 am to 5 pm and 2:30 pm to 11 pm, on a part-time basis. Requirements include RT(R) registration, CPR/BLS, ARRT-CT preferred, and 1+ year radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)) required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• ARRT-CT preferred.
• 1+ year radiology experience preferred.
• Associate/Bachelor’s degree preferred; HS diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Prácticing infection control and using PPE per protocols.
• Follow department protocols for patient identification and time-out procedures.
• Document accurately in EMR and PACS systems.
• Educate patients about the exam and maintain workflow.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, adapting to patients of all ages.

Job Description:

** Part- Time Day/Evening: 8:30 am to 5 pm and/or 2:30 pm to 11 pm

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of CT procedures

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]
• Bachelor's [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of CT training program [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT))[Required]
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) [Preferred]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
