Columbia Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist who holds ARRT CT certification and an Oregon Radiologic Technologist license. The role requires competency in advanced CT modalities, on-call shifts, and CT guidance procedures.
Applicants should have diagnostic radiography experience (fixed and mobile) and fluoroscopy/Surgical C-arm experience is preferred. A commitment to annual CE and safe patient handling is essential.
The CT Technologist will meet all qualifications required of the Radiologic Technologist in addition to possessing current ARRT advanced certification(s) in radiographic modalities appropriate to the Imaging Department’s needs. Technologists must be current and competent in each advanced modality. On call responsibility and/or a holiday rotation is an expectation of this position. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Diagnostic radiography experience, both fixed and mobile are required. Training into fluoroscopy is recommended as well as surgical c-arm experience. Biopsy, injection, aspiration, and other advanced procedures under CT guidance are required. IV starting and line maintenace experience is required.
Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Must have ARRT Registration and Certification(s) in CT; must possess a current Oregon State Radiologic Technologist License in good standing Must maintain continuing education requirements as specified by the State of Oregon, and ARRT for each certified modality. BLS is required through the American Heart Association.
Must have sufficient experience to meet all requirements of the Radiologic Technologist and recent clinical experience and competency in each additional modality.
Must be in generally good health with the ability to use mobile radiographic equipment as required for patient care; must be able to transport patients as appropriate as well as assist with patient transfers and lifting of patients as required. Position involves standing, walking, stooping, twisting, and occasional carrying and lifting of materials (up to 50 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment
