Job summary

The Alaska Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a CT Scan Technologist to operate a CT scanner and related equipment, producing radiographs for designated anatomical regions and documenting patient data and equipment operation. You will assist patients and cardiologists, perform calibration tests, and participate in QA activities while ensuring patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Engages in quality assurance of CT equipment and procedures.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and records.
• Ability to prepare and inject contrast materials for diagnostic imaging.

JOB TITLE: CT TechnologistDEPARTMENT: Imaging ServicesSUMMARY OF DUTIES: The CT Scan Technologist is a nonexempt position that operates a computerized tomography scanner and related equipment according to established procedures, in order to produce radiographs of any designated anatomical area and completes records on patient data and equipment operation. Provides assistance to patients and Cardiologists. Solves minor equipment problems.
