Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT or certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license in Medical Imaging if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License required for mobile unit duties.

Job description

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high quality CT studies.
• Pre‑screen patients for contraindications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Use aseptic injection techniques.
• Produce high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologist by the ARRT, or certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license; licensed in Medical Imaging if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License for mobile unit duties.
• Strong customer‑service skills, organization, multitasking abilities, and basic computer knowledge.

Physical Requirements

• More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs; see, speak and hear to communicate with patients.
• Less than 50% of the time: stoop, kneel or crawl; climb and balance; carry and lift (ability to move non‑ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or to exam).
