Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT exams for effective diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role requires certification or an Associate's degree in Radiology, CPR Certification, and significant experience in the field. The position offers a sign-on bonus and extensive benefits including medical options, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement. The work schedule is variable, requiring shifts from 2pm-10:30pm, along with some weekends.

Qualifications

• Certification or Associate's degree in Radiology from an accredited program.
• CPR Certification required.
• Advanced CT Certification required, ARRT Registered required.
• IEMA license needed.
• Previous CT Technologist experience – at least 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams for physicians to diagnose and treat patient illness.
• Prepare patients: obtain history, explain procedures, position patients.
• Complete paperwork and submit images to a radiologist promptly.
• Review CT's to ensure optimum quality.

CT Technologist

Hourly Pay Range: $35.35 – $54.79 – The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Sign on Bonus: $1,000
• Position: CT Technologist
• Location: Evanston Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Resource/PRN
• Hours: 2pm-10:30pm, rotating weekends

• Per Diem Commitment Level: Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Per Diem Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Per Diem Level 3: 111-144 hrs. per 6-week schedule
• Required Travel: Yes

What you will need:

• Education: Certification or Associate's degree in Radiology from an accredited program
• Certification: CPR Certification required; Advanced CT Certification required, ARRT Registered required
• License: IEMA license
• Experience: Previous CT Technologist experience – at least 5 years preferred
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills required

What you will do:

• Perform CT exams for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with departmental standards, policies and procedures
• Prepare patients for exam: obtain and record history, explain procedures, position patients and ensure their comfort
• Complete all paperwork and submit images to a radiologist in a timely manner
• Review CT's to ensure optimum quality
