Job summary

United Medical Imaging in Southern California seeks a CT/X-Ray Technologist to perform CT imaging and X-rays and other imaging tests. The role includes duties to keep the radiology department running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will be trained to operate CT equipment safely to capture diagnostic images of organs, tissues, and spine, and must meet certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and accredited radiology training.
• MUST have CPR and Venipuncture license.
• AART Certified with specific certification.
• Demonstrate competency in CIS, RIS and PACS.
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• The candidate should be trained in the proper and safe handling of CT equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Capture X-ray and CT images of internal organs, tissues, and spine.
• Support radiology department operations as needed.

We are a large Imaging group, with 30 locations in Southern California, proud leading providers of quality healthcare to the community. Our centers are equipped to treat diagnostics, traumatic, and life-threatening injuries with caring and innovative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to enthusiastically improving the health and quality of life of the people we serve.

We are seeking an CT/X-Ray Technologist who will be conducting computed tomography as well as taking X-rays and other types of scans or imagingtests. Additional tasks associated with keeping the radiology department running may apply.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate should be trained in the proper and safe handling of computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patientsinternal organs and tissue as well as standard musculoskeletal x-rays, including extremities, as well as cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.

Required Experience/ Education

At minimum, a high school diploma and completion a training program at an accredited school.

• MUST have current CPR and Venipuncture license.
• AART Certified with specific certification
• Demonstrate competency in the use of all applicable aspects of the CIS, RIS, and PACS.
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of one year of clinical CT/X-Ray experience.
• Fluoroscopy Permit
• CRT Permit from the State
• Good understanding of providing superior patient care; comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers and management.
