Job summary

AdventHealth Parker, Colorado is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT examinations and ensure patient safety. This full-time, night-weekend role supports our mission within the Radiology team.

You will operate scanners and inject IV contrast under physician orders, review patient history, educate patients, and collaborate with radiologists to maintain accurate imaging and patient care. Strong teamwork and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

  • Association with CT procedures and safety standards.
  • Experience with imaging modality workflows and documentation.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and cross-sectional imaging relevant to CT.

Responsibilities

  • Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the EMR and PACS.
  • Operates imaging equipment safely; performs CT exams per orders and protocols.
  • Reviews patient history to confirm exam appropriateness and contraindications.
  • Prepares and administers IV contrast and monitors for adverse reactions.
  • Positions patients to ensure comfort and radiation safety, following ALARA.

Job Description:
  • Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
  • Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
  • Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
  • Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications.
  • Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
  • Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary, while ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • Associate [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
  • 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of CT training program [Preferred]
