Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a CT Scan Technologist in Waterbury, CT. This full-time, weekend-night shift role involves performing CT exams including angiography and ensuring patient safety.

A $3,750 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible external candidates. Requirements include ARRT CT Registry preferred, graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and state radiographer licensure with licensure exam within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• ARRT CT registry preferred; must be graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1 year CAT Scan tech experience preferred; clinical exposure desired.
• State radiographer license required; licensure exam passed within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations, including angiography.
• Select appropriate software/hardware and imaging techniques.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control per department policies.
• Review exams for technical accuracy and communicate results to radiologist.

Description:

A $3,750 bonus is offered for eligible external candidates only.

Position Purpose

Performs all required CAT Scan Examinations to include angiography.

What you will do

• Function as part of a cohesive team Selects the appropriate software/hardware and equipment imaging techniques.

• Knowledge of radiation safety & protection along with appropriate infection control policies implemented by the department and hospital.

• Ability to assess patient’s condition performs intravenous injections of CT contrast and ensures patient safety through proper use of equipment.

• Ability to review each examination for technical accuracy, presents competed exams to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), CT Scan Registry preferred Must be graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

• Experience: 1-year experience working in a CAT Scan Technologist capacity preferred.

• Certification: State licensure as a Radiographer. Registry eligible candidates have one year from date of hire to provide supporting documentation that they have passed the licensure exam.
