Job summary

RadNet is seeking a CT Technologist Trainee in Oceanside, CA. You will join a dedicated radiology team to support CT imaging, patient care, and exam preparation under supervision.

This role emphasizes learning CT equipment operation, safety protocols, and HIPAA compliance while advancing toward full technologist responsibilities. Ideal candidates have an accredited radiology program, ARRT certifications in progress, a state license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or State CT license within required timeframe.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, physicians, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing patients for CT exams and explain procedures professionally.
• Learn positioning techniques, immobilization, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
• Support with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in educational activities and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for procedures.
• Provide professional and compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
• Complete administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
• Perform other related duties while learning the full CT Technologist role.

You Will

• Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
• Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
• Observes and assists with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable).
• Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
• Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
• Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
