RadNet in Annapolis, MD is hiring a CT Technologist Trainee to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality radiology care. You will assist with CT prep, positioning, and contrast administration under supervision while pursuing required certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within RadNet policy timeframe.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
• Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; relate to patients and team.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures professionally.
• Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
• Observes and assists with administering contrast media under direct supervision, if applicable.
• Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
• Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (although hours may vary based on training & operational needs).

You Will:

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:

• Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
• Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
• Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
