Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic imaging to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. The role emphasizes patient care across various age groups, requiring certification and appropriate educational qualifications to ensure high standards of practice in imaging. Candidates will be expected to have relevant certifications and preferably some experience as a Radiological Technologist.

Qualifications

  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
  • BLS certified.
  • Preferred: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
  • Provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certified.
PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.
