Position Summary

Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Reports to: Director of Imaging/Radiology

Responsibilities of the Position

1. Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
2. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
3. When ordered, prepares, and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
4. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
5. Prepares equipment and supplies.
6. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
7. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
8. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s
