Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park seeks a Radiologic Technologist to uphold infection-control standards and operate imaging equipment for a diverse patient population. You will document results in EMR/PACS, educate patients, and ensure efficient exam flow, maintaining safety and quality across departments.

Required are ARRT-CT and RT licenses with BLS CPR certification, plus state registrations. This is a PRN Day shift role within a faith-based health system dedicated to compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• ARRT-CT certification with EV accreditation.
• BLS CPR certification (RQI preferred).
• State licenses and EV-accredited body credentials listed.

Responsibilities

• Practice infection control and use PPE and disinfectants.
• Follow dept. protocols for patient ID, consent and time-out.
• Maintain accurate EMR/PACS documentation.
• Educate patients on exams and manage workflow efficiently.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust for all ages.

Job Description

• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's, High School Grad or Equiv (Required)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.-CERT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
• Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range: $29.04 - $54.02
