Job summary

AdventHealth Parker seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations per protocol, ensure patient safety and accurate documentation in EMR and PACS, and educate patients about procedures.

The role requires strong knowledge of CT scanners and radiation safety, with emphasis on ALARA principles and high-quality patient care. PRN shifts, day hours, Colorado location.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or higher preferred in radiologic technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures according to established protocols.
  • Follow department protocols for patient identification and time-out procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS systems.
  • Educate patients about the exam and ensure timely completion of exams.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely, adapting for patients of all ages.

Job Description
  • Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
  • Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
  • Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
  • Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.

  • Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff

  • Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age‑appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department
