Job summary

Odessa Regional Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform CT radiography and ultrasound exams, while providing patient history and procedure explanations. The role requires ARRT registration and an Associate degree in radiologic technology, with a minimum of three years' experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration or certification.
• At least 3 years of experience in radiology.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history, explains procedures and addresses concerns.
• Produces CT scanner radiographs as required by procedures.
• Performs ultrasound exams and related scans.
• Plans and executes radiology tasks with professional judgment.

Education

Associate degree in radiologic technology

ARRT registration

3+ years of experience

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures

• Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as required by the departmental procedures
• Performs ultrasound examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, and radiation therapy localization
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of tasks
• certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager

• A.R.R.T. registration required
• 3+ years of experience
