Position Overview

We have an immediate opening for a PRN CT Tech II.

Scope

Under limited supervision, responsible for coordinating and administering all CT/MRI radiologic exams, ensuring technical quality and timely reporting of results. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies regarding patient and employee safety. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Performs CT and MRI procedures as ordered, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Provides expertise to physicians regarding additional or modified studies.
  • Assists with patient escort, dressings, and comfort.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork for timely service delivery.
  • Develops, processes, and logs radiologic films and procedures.
  • Maintains safety standards for patients and staff.
  • Conducts daily quality control and reports malfunctions.
  • Arranges preventive maintenance as recommended.
  • Manages outside films and maintains confidentiality of all patient and staff information.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
  • At least five years of experience as a CT/MRI Technologist.
  • Registered radiologic technologist (ARRT) certification.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications.
  • Certification in CT and MRI strongly preferred.
Physical Demands

Requires full body motion, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repositioning patients weighing up to 300 pounds. Must have normal vision and hearing, and the ability to sit/stand for extended periods.

Work Environment

Regular exposure to patients, potential bloodborne pathogens, toxic substances, and radiation. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
