Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Scan Technologist maintains technical skills to perform CT procedures, ensuring safety and quality. Responsibilities include equipment operation, image management, patient preparation, and care, including IV access and medication administration under physician direction.

• Perform diagnostic procedures with minimal radiation and high image quality.
• Demonstrate competency in CT procedures, positioning, and equipment use, following protocols and guidelines.
• Obtain patient consent for metals and contrast, review surgical history.
• Document procedures accurately, including STAT reads.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of the lab, follow disinfection protocols.
• Follow ACR QC requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology program or an associate degree or higher. No experience required; training provided.

Preferred: Two years CT experience; Associate Degree in Radiology Technology.

Licenses and Certifications

• Required: CMRT Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas).
• Preferred: ARRT registry in CT.
