Job Summary

The CT Technologist performs computerized tomography diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist, operates diagnostic equipment, verifies images, and prepares the room with necessary equipment and supplies for each procedure. The technologist ensures that high‑quality CT scans produce accurate diagnostic information and supports the medical imaging department through clerical tasks, scheduling, diagnostic imaging, transportation, ordering supplies, inventory management, and cleaning. The position may include direct supervision of students, requiring the technologist to maintain licensure and training equivalent to that of the student audience.

Position Requirements

• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • ARRT required upon hire.
  • SCRQSA required upon hire.
  • BLS – Healthcare provider on hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • CT registry preferred (but not required) and must be obtained within six months of departmental orientation completion, at which point SCRQSA and ARRT will be obtained.
• Education: Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology and/or ARRT/CNMT.
