Job summary

Southeast Health is hiring a CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic CT scans while upholding patient safety and confidentiality. The role requires expertise in CT technology, patient care, contrast administration, and radiation safety.

Key duties include patient preparation, positioning, image acquisition, documentation, and collaboration with radiologists. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available and weekend/night shifts may apply, with ongoing education and quality control emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-certified diagnostic imaging program or NMTCB.
• Registered in ARRT/NMTCB within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for CT procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
• Position patients to optimize imaging while minimizing exposure.
• Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Administer or manage contrast media with monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before radiologist submission.
• Maintain documentation in medical records and PACS/EMR.
• Follow ALARA principles for radiation safety.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians for accurate diagnosis.
• Respond to medical emergencies during scanning.
• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance.
