Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Central Massachusetts seeks a Radiology CT Technologist to perform a variety of CT examinations for physician interpretation across patient ages, under general supervision. You will deliver high-quality patient care while following radiation safety standards.

The role requires graduate radiologic training, ARRT or NMTCB certification, MA licensure, and strong communication. Schedule is Monday–Friday with variations and potential signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic program.
• ARRT or NMTCB certification in diagnostic CT.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations appropriate to patient age in inpatient/outpatient settings according to standards and protocols.
• Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
• Submit complete records, paperwork and billings promptly.
• Position and transfer patients safely and assist physicians with interventional exams.
• QC images and send exams to PACS for physician review.

Under general supervision of the Director or Diagnostic Imaging, this position is responsible for scanning and producing a variety of computerized tomography examinations for physician interpretation and diagnosis of injury and/or disease for all patient ages.

Assists the Radiologist with all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to radiation standards and guidelines set forth by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. Performs related clerical and service duties and assists with other departments as needed.

I. Major Responsibilities

• 1. Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
• 2. Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
• 3. Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
• 4. Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
• 5. Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.

II. Position Qualifications

License/Certification/Education :

• Required:
• 1. Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
• 2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT.
• 3. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Preferred:
• 1. N/A.

Experience/Skills:

• Required:
• 1. Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to product optimum results.
• 2. Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
• Preferred:
