Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to assist the Radiology Department in daily operations and to perform CT scans with quality control. The role requires MRT licensure in Texas and ARRT CT certification, with a minimum of five years CT experience and adherence to compliance standards.

Responsibilities include patient screening, coordinating with radiologists on orders, and supporting care transitions while working weekends, evenings, and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Current BCLS certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of CT experience.
• Membership in related professional organization preferred.
• Knowledge of ASRT performance standards.
• Adherence to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Department Director / Supervisor in daily departmental operations.
• Performs and oversees CT procedures in Radiology.
• Performs quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer.
• Evaluates orders with radiologist and ensures proper exam is performed.
• Screens patients for contraindications to contrast media and communicates with staff.
