Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in training to CT to join the Imaging team at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. The role provides structured on‑the‑job training and a clear pathway to become a registered CT Technologist, with support from experienced CT professionals.

Ideal candidates are RTs pursuing CT registry and those looking to advance into CT in a high‑acuity, high‑volume imaging setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT-approved school.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Current State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT Radiography certification and eligibility to sit for the applicable CT registry.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and imaging orders; prepare patients for exams, including assistance with contrast administration.
• Position patients accurately using anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Perform CT exams following department protocols and transmit data for radiologist interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality in real time and adjust to ensure diagnostic-quality images.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, calibration, and maintenance; report equipment concerns.
• Adapt imaging techniques based on patient age, size, and medical condition.
• Support department operations, including inventory management and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
