Job summary

Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER in Wichita, Kansas seeks a CT Technologist II to perform imaging studies, prepare patients, and ensure quality across fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portable exams. The role emphasizes safety, universal protocols, and professional judgment in a busy radiology department.

The candidate will maintain ARRT registry, CT specialty, and BLS, with a minimum of one year in imaging, and participate in staff training and student instruction as part of continuous clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT registration required.
• Current advanced CT registry.
• KS Radiologic Technologist certification within 90 days of hire.
• BLS verification from AHA or ARC Healthcare Provider CPR.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum one year of imaging department experience.

Responsibilities

• Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure.
• Performs procedures and monitors patients, responding to needs as appropriate.
• Completes documentation for each study performed.
• Performs all computer and PACS functions.
• Adheres to safety regulations and aseptic techniques to protect patients and staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols.
• Uses professional judgment and critical thinking during procedures.
• Participates in orientation and training of new staff and instructors for students on clinical rotations.
• Operates radiation-producing equipment and applies radiation-protection techniques for radiographs in fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portable exams.
• Performs advanced competencies in at least two environments (e.g., mammography, dexa, fluoroscopy, pediatric fluoroscopy, OR C-arm, and advanced OR procedures).
• Performs computed radiography functions throughout the medical center.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education

Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Current advanced CT registry

Kansas State Board of Healing Arts Radiologic Technologist certification within 90 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) verification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Healthcare Provider CPR

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

One year of experience in an Imaging Department
