Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist 2 to perform specialized CT procedures with independence and clinical judgment. The role involves patient preparation, image acquisition, QA checks and direct collaboration with radiologists.

Requirements include an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, CT certification or license, and BLS. Candidates should have 1–3 years of related CT experience and familiarity with PACS networks.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree in Radiologic Technology and CT licensure or ARRT CT certification.
• Must hold or obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with CT equipment, PACS networks and data entry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for CT scans of various body parts.
• Enter instructions into the CT terminal and monitor scan performance.
• Adjust equipment and display options to ensure quality images.
• Evaluate scan results for accuracy and completeness; communicate findings.
• Provide support to radiologists and perform QA tests on equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and respond to their needs.
• Maintain accurate procedure records and ensure networking to PACS/AW/Vitrea.
