Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to support patient imaging across our Miami-Dade facilities. Responsibilities include preparing patients, verifying orders, and assisting radiologists during procedures.

We require ARRT CT registration, state radiography licensure, and BLS/CPR. Ideal candidates bring 2 years of CT-related experience and proficiency with EPIC and SYNAPSE systems. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be registered by ARRT (CT) and hold a Florida General Radiographer license.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Graduate of AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent.
• Two years of clinical experience and/or be able to perform CT Angio, Cystograms, Virtual Colonography, TAVR, Enterography & Rectal Contrast exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and assists radiologist during procedures.
• Reviews patient records to verify orders prior to examination.
• Cross trains in other specialty areas as workload demands.
• Inspects films for quality and proper patient data prior to interpretation.
• Assists with training of new technologists and technical staff.
• Operates and maintains specialized radiology equipment following safety guidelines.
• Completes exam data entry and related paperwork daily.
• Proficient in 3D post-processing and CT unit operation.

In addition, assists radiologist/physician in patient care during procedure.* Reviews patient medical record(s) to verify physician's order prior to examination.* Cross trains in other specialty areas/departments/facilities when work load demands to enhance skills outside assigned specialty clinical area.* Inspects films for quality, and monitors all films with respect to proper patient name, date and medical record number prior to interpretation by Radiologist.* Assists with training of new technologists and technical assistants in all phases of assigned procedures, as requested by supervisor/manager/director.* Demonstrates competency and observes safety guidelines when operating all specialized equipment in assigned clinical area.* Implements Standard Precautions on all patients, as directed by hospital policy.* Adjusts to variable schedules and/or procedure techniques that may be required at times.* Adheres to MSMC established Personnel Radiation dosimeter Policy as observed by supervisor and as documented in department protocol.* Reports all equipment malfunctions to lead tech/supervisor and clinical engineering immediately.* Maintains and stocks room with proper supplies necessary to complete radiologic examinations.* Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of computer programs, particularly the EPIC and SYNAPSE systems.* Completes exam data entry on all studies performed on a daily basis, as well as any other necessary paperwork associated with each case.* Attends monthly department staff meetings as scheduled.* Proficient in 3D post-processing (Circle Of Willis, Aorta, Boney Extremities, Carotids).* Proficient in Peripheral IV Catheter placement.* Proficient in Performing & Documenting Phantom Quality Control on Siemens & GE Scanners.* Proficient in operating Siemens & GE CT units.## Qualifications* ### License/Registration/Certification + Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT) and hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control.
