Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT examinations under Radiologist supervision. You will position patients, choose the correct protocol, and operate imaging equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have ARRT certification, BCLS, and at least 6 months of radiologic technologist experience, with AMA/JRCERT education as required. This on-site role supports a busy radiology department across Georgia.

Qualifications

• Education: AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training.
• Work experience: 6 months preferred as Radiologic Technologist.
• Licenses: ARRT and BCLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in performing CT procedures on patients of all ages.
• Positions patient, selects protocol, and uses required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in non-scanner components.
• Follows imaging protocols for the exam performed.
• Performs quality control in line with ACR guidelines.
• Adheres to Radiation Safety policies and dose reduction principles.
• Provides patient education and communicates per standards.

Responsibilities

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all CT procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required

Work Experience

• 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
