Job summary

MercyOne seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT exams, support radiologists, and provide patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within Imaging Services.

Required credentials include a two-year Radiologic Technology program, ARRT/NMTCB registry, and BLS certification. Iowa/Illinois licensure and ongoing education support are provided.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• CT experience preferred (2 years).
• CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB) required.
• Active registry in ARRT or NMTCB.
• Iowa Permit to Practice or Illinois Radiology Technologist License.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Ability to work under pressure and supervise others.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily operations of CT exams and procedures on scheduled shift including emergency callbacks.
• Provides care to patients across age groups.
• Collaborates with radiologists to maintain quality CT services.
• Monitors supplies and equipment usage, reordering, expiration, and reports issues.
• Participates in clinical education and serves as a positive role model for students.
• Participates in huddles and supports safety, engagement, quality, and customer service.

Shift: Days

What you will do

• Performs daily operations of CT exams and procedures on scheduled shift including emergency callback . Operates CT equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manner.

• Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Works collaboratively with radiologists tomaintain quality in every aspect of CT services.

• Monitors supplies and equipment for usage, reordering/ expiration , and reports issues as needed.
• Collaborates with associated imaging educational programs; positivelyparticipates in clinical preceptorship for imaging sciences students . Is a positive role model for student technologists.

• Participates in huddles and ensures key metrics are regularly supported . Supports a culture of safety, engagement, quality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant credentials as defined below:

• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.

• Previous 2 -year CT experience preferred .

• CT credential (ARRT or NMTCB ) required

• Maintains active registry status in ARRT or NMTCB .

• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice or Illinois Radiology Technologist License

• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

• Maintains Basic Life Support qualification

• Must be able to work well under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects.

• Must be able to provide direction to and supervision of other employees.

• Previous leadership experience preferred.
