Job summary

Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, seeks a skilled CT technologist to perform high-precision cardiac imaging and guide patients through the imaging process, ensuring safe positioning and clear, diagnostic images.

You will follow clinical safety protocols during contrast administration, maintain radiation safety, and collaborate with radiologists to optimize scanning protocols and departmental efficiency.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends.

Qualifications

  • BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required: NMTCB CT certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT; or ARRT Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT or Radiography with Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty accepted.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-precision imaging by selecting exact anatomical parameters to ensure radiologists receive diagnostic clarity for life-saving decisions.
  • Guide and support patients through the imaging process, ensuring safe positioning and monitoring to minimize anxiety and maximize image accuracy.
  • Manage clinical safety protocols during administration of contrast media and medications, adhering to regulations to protect patient health.
  • Champion radiation safety by following protective guidelines to ensure a secure environment for patient and team.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating scanning protocols and refining processes to enhance diagnostic quality and departmental efficiency.

Education

Associate's degree/Technical degree

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
Education
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What Additional Preferences We're Seeking
  • CT Registry preferred.
  • 1 year CT experience preferred.
