Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, CO, seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with emphasis on patient safety and a positive experience. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and the care team to deliver accurate imaging services.

The ideal candidate has ARRT Radiography registration and ARRT (CT) certification, plus an accredited Radiologic Technology education. A 1-year hospital radiology background is preferred, with BLS certification within three months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current ARRT Radiography registration and ARRT (CT) certification required.
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology and/or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences from an approved program preferred.
  • One year of professional radiology experience in a hospital or patient care setting preferred.
  • Must obtain an American Heart Association-approved BLS certification within three months of hire and maintain current certification throughout employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.
  • Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, address concerns, and provide appropriate patient education.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement, Continuous Quality Improvement, Patient Satisfaction, Radiation Safety, and related department initiatives.
  • Support radiologic patient and physician education and participate in committees, meetings, and other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures while prioritizing patient safety, quality care, and a positive patient experience. This role works directly with patients, physicians, and the care team to ensure accurate and efficient imaging services.

  • Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.
  • Obtain patient histories, explain procedures, address concerns, and provide appropriate patient education.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement, Continuous Quality Improvement, Patient Satisfaction, Radiation Safety, and related department initiatives.
  • Support radio-logical patient and physician education and participate in committees, meetings, and other duties as assigned.
  • Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a skilled CT Technologist who provides safe, accurate, and compassionate imaging services while maintaining high standards of patient care and quality. They should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and communicate professionally with patients and the care team.

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with current ARRT Radiography registration and ARRT (CT) certification required.
  • Associate degree in Applied Science in Radiologic Technology and/or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences from an approved program preferred.
  • One year of professional radiology experience in a hospital or patient care setting preferred.
  • Must obtain an American Heart Association-approved BLS certification within three months of hire and maintain current certification throughout employment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety, medical imaging equipment, patient care, and applicable policies and procedures, with the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and the public.

  • Pay Range: $39.13-$61.50/hour (based on experience)
