Job summary

Abrazo Central Campus is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of radiologic procedures including vascular, invasive, interventional exams and CT. The role requires proficiency with CT protocols and PACS/RIS systems, and entails on-call duties when indicated.

You will work with a dedicated team in a teaching hospital setting and participate in quality control and patient safety. Qualifications include a JRCERT-approved program, ARRT certification in Radiography, CPR, and Arizona

Qualifications

• Education: JRCERT-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: Prior general radiology experience; one year preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: ARRT (Radiography), CPR; Arizona CTCT license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation of new procedures and equipment.
• Perform billing/charging with computer systems.
• Operate CT equipment and ensure calibration, QC, and maintenance.
• Maintain communication with radiologists and patients; ensure proper positioning.
• Explain procedures and obtain history, consent, and labs before IV contrast.

Job Summary

Position Summary

Performs a variety of radiological procedures, including vascular, invasive, interventional examinations and computerized tomographic procedures. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment. Ability to perform duties of ARRT Technologist when not performing CT. Responsible for on‑call procedures when indicated.

Responsibilities

• Assists in evaluation of new procedures and equipment.
• Performs proper billing/charging with computer systems.
• Uses CT equipment. Proficiency with general operating procedure i.e. start up procedures, calibration of equipment, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance, malfunctioning equipment and problem solving.
• Maintains inter and intra departmental communication via phone, fax, computer etc. Maintains appropriate communication with radiologists. In depth knowledge of human anatomy, proper patient positioning and good technical judgment.
• Adequate assessment and explanation of procedure to patient before testing occurs. CT protocols, biopsy and all other invasive procedure. Adequate history, consent form and lab values checked and documented before administering IV contrast.
• Use proper protocol for PACS and RIS electronic system.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
• Special Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience: Prior general radiology experience. One year experience
  • Licensure/Certifications: Currently Certified and Registered in Radiography ARRT, CRT and CPR. Current Arizona CTCT license.
• Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience: Two years CT experience.
  • Certification/Registrations: Computed Tomography R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT).
