Job summary

CHI St. Anthony Hospital in Oregon is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT studies, operate CT equipment safely, and contribute to patient-centered care. You will explain procedures, verify orders, and prioritize studies while protecting patient dose and logging accurate data.

Relocation assistance is offered. The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, CT experience, and current MRAD/RTCT along with AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
  • 1 year of CT Tech employment experience.
  • Current MRAD or RTCT.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT studies and operate CT equipment.
  • Explain procedures to patients and verify orders to minimize unnecessary radiation.
  • Use clinical judgment for additional views or radiologist consultation; manage outside film communications.
  • Log patient data, troubleshoot equipment, and prioritize studies efficiently.
  • Protect patient safety by using shields and complying with dose protocols.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As our CT Technologist you will help provide diagnostic excellence and exceptional patient care.

Everyday you will perform accurate CT exams, operate equipment safely, and contribute directly to life-changing medical decisions.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

  • Execute Comprehensive Studies: Perform diagnostic radiologic and CT studies, operating equipment effectively.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Identify patients, explain procedures to ease anxiety, and verify orders, minimizing unnecessary radiation.
  • Clinical Judgment: Use sound judgment for additional views or Radiologist consultation; manage outside film communications.
  • Equipment & Workflow: Log patient data; troubleshoot equipment; optimize patient flow and prioritize studies efficiently.
  • Patient Comfort & Safety: Utilize accessories for comfort/protection; question childbearing-age patients, use lead shields, follow protocol manuals for optimal dose.
  • Accurate Records: Enter patient data precisely; ensure exams/supplies are charged/filled.
  • Continuous Learning: Pursue CE in XR/CT; attend meetings; seek learning opportunities; assist new staff.
  • Policy Adherence & Safety: Comply with Diagnostic Imaging policies, safety/risk management, Universal Precautions (PPE); report hazards; ensure age-appropriate care.
