Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a Contract CT Surgical First Assistant (SFA) in Arizona. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a weekly pay range of $1,987 to $2,330.

Responsibilities include assisting surgeons during cardiothoracic procedures, vein harvesting as needed, and maintaining sterile technique while supporting the OR team to ensure smooth surgeries. Standby calls from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM and every third weekend are required.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical First Assistant (SFA) certification is required.
• Prior Cardiothoracic (CT) experience is required.
• Experience with vein harvesting is required.

• Assist surgeons during cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
• Perform vein harvesting as needed.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to surgical protocols.
• Support operating room team to ensure efficient procedures.
• Prepare and handle surgical instruments and supplies.
• Provide intraoperative assistance and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
