Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Radiology Manager, the CAT Scan Technologist provides radiological services to patients based on physician’s orders, ensuring patient safety and high-quality testing.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

Previous CT experience required.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Registered ARRT; CT Registry eligible within 90 days of hire; Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT); American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for travel between campuses.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of procedures, patient safety, radiation safety, and quality patient care. Ability to produce quality images efficiently. Successful completion of hospital or department-specific training.
