Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Summit, New Jersey is seeking a CT Technologist responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues and interpreting scanning instructions to position patients for optimal exams.

You will operate CT scanners in compliance with ALARA radiation standards, administer contrast materials, and coordinate with radiologists by using EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to ensure timely image delivery and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
• Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
• Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
• Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
