Job summary

Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating the CT scan equipment, and positions the patient to capture the appropriate images.

Principal Accountabilities

• Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
• Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
• Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
• Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• CT Certification preferred.

In fact, many of our locations meet image gently recommendations, meaning we "child-size" radiation doses for pediatric patients. Our medical team features board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologists, who specialize in breast imaging, cross-sectional imaging, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, muscular-skeletal imaging, pediatric imaging, and interventional radiology. Highly skilled technologists and registered radiology nurses provide additional expertise and support.
