Job summary

Danbury Hospital, part of Northwell Health, seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging to perform high-quality diagnostic CT scans with emphasis on patient safety and comfort.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 24 CEU credits, ARRT radiography credentials, and at least one year of experience; CT experience preferred. Expect patient interaction, adherence to safety and training responsibilities within a clinical setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 24 CEU credits for license.
  • Credentials: ARRT, Radiographer.
  • Minimum one year of experience; CT scan experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Introduces and greets patient.
  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients.
  • Instructs and prepares patient for x-ray and/or fluoroscopic exam.
  • Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions, and shields patient accordingly.
  • Produce high-quality x-rays.
  • Assists with training students and ancillary personnel.
  • Interacts professionally with patients and family.
  • Completes all work before clocking out and leaving.
  • Attends annual hospital review (compliance) and departmental in-services meetings as scheduled.
  • Practices medicine and surgical aseptic procedures.
  • Proficient in either mammography, operating room or another specialty modality.
  • May lead, coach, and mentor staff members.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary:

Education & Certifications Required

High School Diploma or equivalent, Continuing education, 24 CEU credits for license. Credentials: ARRT,Radiographer Minimum Experience: one year Desired: Experience with patient care in a radiology setting. CT Scan experience preferred.
