Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Scan Technologist maintains technical skills for CT procedures, ensuring safety and quality. Responsibilities include equipment operation, image management, patient preparation, and care, including intravenous access and medication administration under physician supervision.

  • Perform diagnostic procedures with minimal radiation and optimal image quality.
  • Demonstrate competency in all CT areas, including positioning, protocol adherence, and equipment use.
  • Obtain patient consent for metals and contrast, review surgical history.
  • Document procedures and STAT reads accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and inventory, follow disinfection protocols, restock supplies, and ensure readiness.
  • Follow ACR quality control guidelines and internal policies.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology program or an associate degree or higher.

Experience: None required; two years of CT experience and an associate degree preferred.

Licenses & Certifications: Required: CMRT certification; Preferred: ARRT in CT.
