Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant field is required.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant imaging experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patients' ID by checking their name and date of birth.
• Conducts patient interviews to describe level of discomfort or pain prior to, during, and after the exam.
• Obtains necessary consent from patients before conducting procedures.
• Maintains and cleans all imaging equipment according to decontamination procedures.
• Supervises and performs imaging procedures under the direction of a radiologist using age-appropriate standards.
• Performs venipunctures, contrast administration and other relevant procedures safely.
• Notifies appropriate person of any change in patients' status.
• Assists the radiologist during procedures with required supplies.
• Follows safety, infection control standards and quality improvement activities.
